I took the kids bird watching at Seaton Wetlands. We camped out at Tower Hide for a while and tried to identify the birds we could see – Black Backed Gulls, Herring Gulls and Black-headed Gulls, as well as Little Grebes, Redshank, Mallards, Little Egrets and Shelduck. Izzy drew a lovely bird picture in her new notebook and we waved to two passing trams.
Walking back, we noticed a big flock of Lapwings on an island in Blackhole Marsh and the friendly Robins were in their usual place.
Total wild time – at least 1 hour
